Senator Boxer: forget the global warming hoax, the real crime is the "stolen" emails!
Senator Boxer hypocritically claims that "hacked" emails are the real issue, not the continued evidence of the global warming hoax.

You know, if the Democrats had reacted similarly when one of their operatives illegally taped Republican leaders during a cell phone call, or when Governor Palin's email account was hacked I might think she was a little serious about this.

But no, "hacked" emails are only a problem when they expose the fraudulent policies of liberals.

And I put hacked in quotes because there's no evidence that it wasn't something else, like technologically illiterate scientists bureaucrats putting things on a public server or a whistle blower exposing the fraud.

So here's to you, Senator Boxer: you put the "rat" in Democrat!

More on government run health care
Ah, more deception from the legion of health care doom. As we've always maintained, illegal aliens will be able to receive health care (and even "insurance") under the disastrous scheme being promulgated by the Democrats.

And you, the taxpayer who follows the rules, will get to pay for it. Meanwhile your own health care will be rationed the same way that Florida currently rations vital services such as "protecting" children.

Enjoy the new slavery!

Well, I suppose if you don't have much to boast about...
You might as well take credit for other people's work.

There are a few things that Democrats can actually take "credit" for, though reaching back to FDR is admitting they haven't done much since.

However, trying to take credit for things like the manned moon missions, the 40 hour work week, civil rights, etc. just proves how little Democrats have done and (by omission) how much they did to work against some of those things while they were in power.

Even more amusing is that they are boasting about creating one of the entities that helped caused the housing bubble! What next, boasting about how well they "regulated" Wall Street?

Oh yeah, they do that, too! :D

So when is the companion shirt coming out that lists how they supported segregation, Jim Crow, communism, tax hikes, school busing, corrupt unions, ACORN, etc.?

Ah, Democrats. If only you were on the side of good instead of evil!

Lies, damned lies and the health care debate
The faux victim stories are making the rounds in the press. And just like all those jobs "saved or created" by Obama, no one can really point to a specific job but everyone has "estimates". And, of course, it is usually some poor, orphaned, Hispanic, black waif who fought in Iraq that suffers the most.

Never mind that careful analysis says those guesses are wrong:
Obamacare is predicated on the assumption that the federal government has the knowledge, capacity, and will to drive greater efficiency in American health care. Inadvertently, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has become an articulate spokesman for why that assumption is dead wrong.

We must press forward even if it kills us! And it probably will, too. Once our economy has been ruined by punitive taxes and our infrastructure destroyed by incorrect "priorities" we'll be left with little to rebuild with.

And that assumes that a majority of the population that voted itself into slavery will want out.

The Democrats may be evil, but they are not stupid. They've realized that they can't bully people into a plantation/segregated life but they can trick them into it. All the talk of the benevolent government taking care of all of your needs and protecting you from imagined enemies smacks of the stories that plantation masters used to tell their slaves. Only this time the slaves are eagerly lining up and volunteering to be enslaved.

Sadly, it has only taken a generation to get us here. It will take far longer to recover from the damage Democrat policies are going to cause. And it's not going to be pretty, either. Economic chains of the new slavery are just as confining as the iron chains of old slavery.

Predictions
1) Cao (the Republican (for now) Representative who voted for the slavery bill) will switch to the Democratic Party.

2) Democrats know that the economic/monetary shit will hit the fan and they only have a very short window to trick the people into approving massive new spending programs so they will attempt to festoon them with fake incentives like tax cuts ("targeted", of course) which never really kick-in. (Just like their promised "spending cuts" of the 80s and 90s.)

3) Barack Obama will approve a few more troops for Afghanistan while at the same time announcing to have "changed" the Bush era policies and even though he already has more troops deployed to the region that Bush ever did he will claim to have "reduced" American presence there. He will then cut a deal with Iran where Iran pretends to help with Afghanistan while Obama sells out Israel.

4) Obama will also pretend that 8 million jobs haven't been lost since he took office and will continue to claim that "lots" of jobs have been "saved or created" by his massive stimulus bill (which has both not really taken effect yet and already saved us).

5) Sarah Palin will hit #1 on the best seller chart and be invited on Oprah.

ETA: Sarah about her appearance on Oprah. Should I make this "again"? :D

6) Obama will attempt a "back door" attack on Fox News by attacking their licensing through the FCC and attempting to reinstate the "fairness" doctrine. (Similar to the way Clinton used the IRS to attack his enemies.)

7) The Democrats in Congress will pass (another) massive tax increase under the guise of "soaking the rich" and "reducing" the deficit.

8) The Democrats will use tragedies involving guns to attempt another ban on guns.

9) Obama will reduce the size of the US navy by mothballing boomers and fleet carriers.

10) US GDP growth will never exceed 4% annually until socialism (and slavery) are rolled back.

Democrats start to turn on Rangel
You know it's bad for a Democrat when even his fellow Democrats turn on him. Democrats are famous for defending scandal-plagued people and groups (ACORN, anyone?) so when they begin to bail on someone like Rangel.
Two Mississippi Democrats, Gene Taylor and Travis Childers, have already bailed on Rangel, voting against him on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday night, Rep. Kendrick Meek, D-Fla., who is running for the Senate, chose not to sign a Black Caucus letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., in support of Rangel.

Ouch!

It's been a long time coming for Rangel. Unfortunately for New York voters the Democrats are already planning on dumping another feckless Democrat into his seat: embattled New York Governor David Patterson.

Caught in their own web of contentious lies, Democrats whine about tone of debate
With Democrats increasingly under fire for both obvious lies and lies of omission when it comes to health care Nancy Pelosi is trying to deflect attention away from Democrats who are screaming that Republicans want people to "die quickly". What was that about the "tone" of debate, Nancy?

Here's a helpful hint: you stop lying to the American people and they might just stop disliking you and your policies to the point where hundreds of thousands of them will travel to Washington, D.C. at their own expense to march in the streets.

Cooperating with RICO investigations against ACORN would be a great start!

Kennedy family hold on Senate seat still secure
The Senate seat that the Kennedy family paid a lot of money to obtain is still securely in their hands thanks to the usual political machinations by Democrats in Massachusetts.

Democrats changed the laws of that state, again, to please the Kennedy family who indicated that they wanted someone appointed to the seat. The laws had been changed just a few years ago, again at the Kennedy family urging, to ensure that the then Republican governor couldn't do that very thing and appoint another Republican to an open seat.

Since the current governor is a Democrat the law was changed back so Democrats could appoint another Democrat.

Don't you wish you lived in Massachusetts so you could be ruled by the Kennedy family, too?

The question is not "if" the brownshirts will march in the streets
It is a question of how long they've already been doing it.

Ignore this threat at the peril of liberty and freedom.

These are the people who will be "counting" you at census time. These are the people who will be "counting" the votes in the next elections.

When organized criminal organizations like ACORN and SEIU have the power to create and count the votes then freedom is lost. We've seen that Obama's AG, Eric Holder, is never going to prosecute these groups or their allies for their crimes. Liberating Congress and the White House is the only way to save our country.

Whining about a President addressing schoolkids
I am of course talking about the Democrat controlled Congress of 1991 which held hearings investigating President Bush's talk to students.
The day after Bush spoke, the Washington Post published a front-page story suggesting the speech was carefully staged for the president's political benefit. "The White House turned a Northwest Washington junior high classroom into a television studio and its students into props," the Post reported.

With the Post article in hand, Democrats pounced. "The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students," said Richard Gephardt, then the House Majority Leader. "And the president should be doing more about education than saying, 'Lights, camera, action.'"

Wow, hypocritical much?

Ah, but I forgot the liberal "thought" process: if a Republican does it, it's bad. If they do it, it's good. Silly me!

Democrats lose again in attempt to shut down free speech of Republicans
In this case it was a non-partisan affair where Senator McCain was part of a program honoring veterans at an NFL game.

The argument presented by a partisan Democrat political operative was that since John McCain was in a political race any time he spoke should be considered a political event and anyone sponsoring the event should be charged with an "in kind" contribution.

That position is of course ludicrous. Applying the same standard to President Obama would mean that every time he spoke from now until he retired would have to be considered an "in kind" political event whether he spoke about politics or whether the event was politically oriented.

What is clear, however, that this is merely one item in a pattern of harassment of Republican politicians, most notably against Sarah Palin.

The goal is clear: to cause such a massive backlog of "ethical" complaints that the politicians spend all their time and money debunking the charges and in the mean time the Democrats will attempt to portray Republicans as "ethically challenged" because of all the complaints lodged. (!)

I've come to expect this kind of tactic from the left. It is, after all, a modern day extension of the bullying tactics they used to use against minorities to keep them "in their place" despite the numerous civil rights laws passed by Republicans in Congress, often over the filibustering objections of Democrats.

It is just another reminder that we can't take our freedoms for granted!

More on those "evil white southern males inciting violence"
Democrats are infamous for sending out their own ne'er do wells in an attempt to make people think Republicans are mean and nasty.

When they get caught they hope no one will notice.

Hat tip: [info]simarillian

It's like I keep reminding you: the "street battles" in Germany were simply fights between two competing brands of socialism in which both sides claimed they would "save" the country from the violence.

Democrats have socialism all to themselves here in the US so they have to manufacture the violence.

This is what they meant by "stimulating" the economy!
An article in the New York Post by Geoff Earle:
WASHINGTON - The stimulus package is living up to its provocative name by funding a bacchanalia of behavioral sex research, a Post analysis reveals.

The next fiscal year is set to be one of the friskiest ever in the nation's science labs, as researchers probe the ins and outs of sex patterns among humans and even some of our four-legged friends.

Among the most titillating grants awarded by the National Institutes of Health are studies that would:

* Examine "barriers to correct condom use" at Indiana University, at a cost of $221,000.

* Study "hookups" among adolescents at Syracuse University. Study's cost: $219,000.

* Evaluate "drug use as a sex enhancer" in an analysis of "high-risk community sex networks" at the University of Illinois, Chicago. That study will cost $123,000.

* Study how methamphetamine, thought to produce an "insatiable need" for sex among users, "enhances the motivation for female rat sexual behavior." Some $28,000 has been awarded for the University of Maryland at Baltimore study.

I wonder if they'll coordinate this with the people in prison who received stimulus checks?

I'm sure they have a lot of that "insatiable need" for sex, too!

Those of you at home shouldn't let criminals and rats have all the fun! Find ways to waste the stimulus money, too! The sooner Congress runs out of money the sooner they stop wasting it!

We need more broken windows!
John Stossel has another excellent post about the evils of broken windows.

One of the points not stated is that certain politicians love "fixing broken windows" because they can attempt to claim credit for the spending! In an economy where money wasn't being funneled to the latest example of (allegedly) broken windows politicians would not be able to claim they were the ones who "fixed" the broken window!

Just another reason to sink these sorry attempts to buy votes by overwhelming them as soon as they are proposed! Politicians hope that enough people will eschew such programs and keep working like good "little people" so that the can funnel the money to buy the votes of the easily deceived. The best way to ruin that is to jump right in and forcefully demonstrate the "tragedy of the commons" as soon as possible.

Real reform
Dear Democrats:

Real reform in health care includes:

  • Tort reform. Without provisions for loser pays and caps on awards for intangibles you will force doctors out of business because their malpractice premiums will soon reach the same level as their soon to be constrained incomes.
  • Remove geographic restrictions on the sale of health care insurance. This is a stupid, illogical, political barrier that keeps insurance premiums artificially high.
  • Level the tax playing field for health care insurance purchases. Consumers should receive the same benefits whether they buy health insurance through an employer, on their own, or through any other group. This includes allowing the wholesale adoption of health care savings accounts.
  • Remove political restrictions on who can sell health insurance to whom. If an industry group, local interest group, private company, etc. wants to sell health insurance and fulfills the related legal obligations for doing so then they should be able to operate free of artificial government barriers to entry which only serve to keep health care insurance premiums artificially high.
  • Remove artificial and arbitrary political mandates such as "minimum coverage levels" and "mandatory coverage" laws. Consumers should be able to purchase as much or as little insurance as they choose.
  • Stop political entities from forcing cost-shifting by mandating artificially low payments to health care providers. Payments should be based on market forces, not bureaucratic bean counting.
  • Stop political entities from raiding general tax revenues to pay for government sponsored health care programs. Such programs should be self-financing, just like their free market alternatives.

This is just a start, but is sufficient to stop the false charges from Democrats that there aren't any alternatives out there or that Republicans are not interested in reforms.

Of course, the Democrats wouldn't be so perplexed about reality if they would stop conflating "reform" with "increased government control"!
