That's right, if you have been making your payments on time...fuck off! The government is only out to bribe people who haven't been paying their bills.
I suppose Obama knows that people who pay their bills on time are likely to vote Republican, so why waste good bribe money on them?
Similar plans were roundly denounced during the 2008 campaign but this new campaign is very "stealthy". It is designed to fly under the radar and quickly reward potential Obama voters with free money worth up to $50K. (If that number sounds familiar it is because that's the same amount Obama's aggrieved farmer reparations program gives out.)
As with the other giveaway programs I urge everyone to apply for them. Only by quickly draining the resources (and giving them the added insult of funding political opponents) can we end these fiscally irresponsible programs. Current Mood : annoyed Tags : federal spending, obama administration
It has been amusing to watch the self-deluded haters of Glenn Beck fall into their own pit of deceitful propaganda where the only outcome of Glenn Beck doing anything is a result of him being fired or having horrible ratings.
As the linked article details, Glenn Beck has been unusually successful on TV and the haters have been claiming his ratings "are collapsing" for four years now. (This is also evidence that their hate-based campaign to manipulate advertisers has failed as well.)
The truth is that he's leaving his show on Fox News of his own accord to start his own network, GBTV.
No doubt the haters are already claiming ratings for GBTV, which hasn't aired yet, "are collapsing". :P Current Mood : amused Tags : big lie, glenn beck, hate, liberals
What's next? Stating that the Commerce Clause makes housing of soldiers a "necessary" burden that must be borne by people who own homes?
The Founders would be ashamed at the ways their Constitution has been perverted.
Judge James Graham was the only one who correctly interpreted the Constitution in this case, writing: "If the exercise of power is allowed and the mandate upheld, it is difficult to see what the limits on Congress's Commerce Clause authority would be. What aspect of human activity would escape federal power?"
The answer from liberals on that question is that nothing should escape federal control. That is not the country the Founders created and not the country we should be living in today.
The "Justice" Department declared that anyone who opposed the law was racist. Seeing the pattern here? Any program proposed or implemented by liberals is only questioned by racists. It's an illogical, fallacious defense but the liberal media eats it up and the useful fools love it. Garry McCarthy, Chicago's new "top cop", doesn't understand the very laws he's duty bound to enforce
McCarthy is literally turning the notion of "racism" on its head. He claims that laws that allow blacks to have access to guns is racist because some people obtain them via illegal means and some of those people kill blacks with those guns.
So because some people steal cars, laws that allow your or I to purchase a car are fostering car theft? That because some owners of those stolen cars are black anyone advocating the free sale of cars is racist?
Such horrible logic from a "top" cop is pretty scary stuff. You can be sure that Chicago area residents will not be treated to justice during his tenure but to his opinion about what the law should be about.
Hopefully someone will as Mr. McCarthy what he thinks of the federal program to route guns to Mexican drug cartels!
That people such as McCarthy reach high levels and have a direct impact on the lives of Americans is an indication of how modern government is failing the citizens of this country. Someone who thinks a Constitutionally guaranteed right to own guns and that is available to all and designed in part to prevent slavery is somehow "racist" is someone who doesn't understand the subject at hand. The law, which includes protection for religious groups that do not wish to perform gay marriages, is one that should have received more than four Republican votes. (It should have received all of them!)
Republicans are only enabling the Democrats, which have been just as anti-gay marriage in the past, to paint Republicans as against civil rights. For those old enough to remember, the Democrats did the same thing in the 1960s after flipping on civil rights for blacks; accusing Republicans of being against the very rights they supported for more than 100 years because they objected to the methods endorsed by Democrats such as mandatory busing.
The fact that Republicans were right about busing didn't undo the damage caused by decades of bad press on the issue.
And anyone else preaching the "more revenues" sermon:
As has been pointed out for decades, the problem is out of control spending, not insufficient revenues. Asking for more revenues for Congress is like asserting that alcoholism is a result of insufficient access to alcohol. Current Mood : determined Tags : federal deficit, federal spending
It's amusing to think about the dozens of journalists and thousands of "helpers" poring through the Palin emails from Alaska; all of them desperately hoping to find something both significant and damaging to her reputation.
There is a small gesture toward a neutral topic, "savings, retirement and Social Security". But the only people they want stories from are those who depend heavily on Social Security.
Gosh, I can't figure out how that "news" article will be framed! :P
Social Security is a poorly designed (Ponzi) scheme that robs future generations to pay for overly-optimistic benefits to current and near-future recipients. As with any Ponzi scheme, the money just isn't there to pay off all the obligations that have been assumed by the program. Indeed at some point within the lifetime of our children it will take all federal tax revenues just to pay benefits for the current year recipients, and soon after that we will have borrow to meet obligations.
That's an economic catastrophe no matter what political party you belong to.
But there are still those pretending that nothing's wrong and we don't have to "touch" Social Security to fix anything because they know they will benefit politically from such a stance and when the economic collapse comes they'll be out of office and financially secure.
For the rest of us there is only the prospect of endless debt and economic slavery for generations to come. Current Mood : determined Tags : congress, economics, msm, social security
The leftosphere came out hot and heavy in defense of Congressman Weiner in the past few days, claiming (of all things) that it was all a hoax perpetrated by people like Andrew Breitbart and the usual vast right-wing conspiracy machine.
So after the tearful "confession" press conference how many of those bloggers, journalists, media personalities, etc. that rushed to defend Weiner are also apologizing for their irresponsible attacks on the right?
If you said "none of them" then you are correct.
The left shouldn't be too disappointed in the Weiner deflation; at least this scandal is taking the news cycles away from the horrible Obama economy!

It won't kill you to admit that you are wrong about Sarah Palin. Even for one item. It will, however, kill your integrity if you can't do so—even when faced with overwhelming evidence that she is right.
People suffering from Palin Derangement Syndrome have once again jerked their knees in reaction to Palin talking about Paul Revere warning the British that they weren't going to take our arms and making reference to gunshots and bell ringing.
It's all true, just like her 1773 reference a couple of months ago.
You would think that the Palin Haters, having been burned so many times in the past, would stop and check the facts before trying to proclaim her stupid and themselves magically smarter by making fun of her.
The growth gap continues to widen. Measured against the gold standard for recent recoveries, the Reagan era expansion of 1982-9, the Obama economy fails to measure up across the board. Growth is about 1/4 of what it was during the Reagan expansion and job growth, tremendous under Reagan, is nonexistent in the Obama economy. Soaring energy and commodity prices indicate an inflationary future that will further cripple the economy.
Housing continues to deteriorate, manufacturing is down, the debt and deficit remain at generational record highs and all Obama and the Democrats have to offer is endless debt and two to three generations of economic slavery to pay for it all...and that's if we stop him in 2012. All you need to know about the illegal immigration issue
Will those despicable Republicans stop at making illegal immigration a crime or will they move on to things like shoplifting, theft, etc? Where will it all end?!
This is also more evidence that the Democrat tactic on laws/parts of the Constitution they don't like is to simply ignore it and pretend it doesn't really exist. Current Mood : amused Tags : democrats, illegal immigration, laws, society
Democrats in Senate kill Republican attempts at health care reform; show hand for 2012 strategy
The Democrats in the Senate killed Republican efforts to reform health care and tipped their hand for their 2012 campaign strategy: tell a Big Lie.
Specifically, lie about Republicans by claiming they want to literally push grandma off a cliff when it comes to health care.
If Republicans respond as spinelessly as they have in the past few weeks to these charges they are in for a rough election. Only by calling out the Democrats (and their willing accomplices in the media) as liars and showing that they offer only endless debt at the economic enslavement of our children will they be able to convince the easily manipulated single issue (as in Medicare) voters that the Democrats are playing them for fools.
All you have to do is look back at 1982 and 2006 to see how the Democrats will proceed. I'm not sure the current Republican leaders are smart enough to do that, though. Current Mood : cynical Tags : 2012 election, democrats, medicare, republicans
Hartland - Teachers in the Hartland-Lakeside School District have agreed to switch health insurance providers to save the district $690,000, but the executive committee of a union that represents teachers at Arrowhead High feeder schools is blocking the change, officials say.
Faced with a $1.2 million reduction in state aid for the 2011-'12 school year, the School Board has been looking at ways to reduce costs and avoid program cuts and increases in class sizes, Superintendent Glenn W. Schilling said Tuesday.
The board determined it could achieve some saving by switching teachers' health insurance from WEA Trust, the nonprofit company started 40 years ago by the state's largest teachers union, to another provider when the contract expires June 30.
In the end, the board and teachers - after a series of joint meetings to study the issue - agreed to go with United Healthcare.
Teachers overwhelmingly supported the change, said Schilling and Ginny Henningsen, the former School Board president who has been serving as a liaison in negotiations with teachers since leaving the board in April.
The Arrowhead United Teachers Organization's executive committee rejected the switch on Monday.
The district faces a $7.2 million budget shortfall this year, said Eric Olson, president of the Kenosha Unified School Board. All other labor groups within the district agreed to switch from WEA Trust to coverage provided by Minneapolis-based UnitedHealthcare, a private health insurance provider. The change generated more than $3 million in savings for the district, Olson said.
If the teachers had also switched to UnitedHealthcare, the district would have saved an additional $3 million, he said.
The coverage provided by UnitedHealthcare features the same benefits and co-pays that the WEA Trust does, said both Olson and Richard K. Wheeler, national vice president public sector for UnitedHealthcare.
Because the teachers did not make the insurance coverage change, the district will need to lay off about 40 teachers to make up for the remainder of the budget shortfall, Olson said.
Kudos to Governor Scott Walker for taking on the unions and their attempts to economically enslave our children. The left will of course try to blame teacher layoffs on "budget cuts".
We fight not only for our own economic freedom but also for that of our children. Who wants their children to spend their entire lives trying to pay off the debt racked up by the left over the past few decades (and especially the past few years)?
