I think that it is hilarious that this awesome colorbar has the kids over in colorbar_love are showing their love of free speech (as long as it applies to theirs) and patriotism (which they still confuse with sedition).

Frick 'em, make them censor you and restrict your right to post. We can always create a competing community that allows actual democracy (which they confuse for socialism).

I figured there would be a lot of hypocrtical wailing in colorbar_love. The same thing happens when pro-Bush material is posted to 2004_elections. Typical behavior from the crowd who thinks "free speech" means they get to talk and you get to listen.

Copy and use the colorbar at will. Spread the love!

Because I wouldn't want anyone else to spend time looking for the thread you referred to to put this post in context.

Personally, I think the argument that it has be those colors to be posted in that community is a bit narrow minded. Granted, they can hold it to that because they created it, but I think it's not a good idea. They should include more variety in the "color"bars.

Holding people to that lj-cut for "offensive" posts isn't really gonna work unless they enforce it. I think it's probably not gonna work. Those real nasty one make me feel a bit disgusted though, I don't understand the mentality behind it.

It'd make a better colourbar if it had colours. And more to do with love -- khaki prints are much more "war", aren't they? The text should be outlined to make it easier to read. Perhaps it could also do with a dash or colon or some sort of punctuation between "love" and "vote". But anyhow, just some technical comments from a lass who isn't even American, let alone Republican.

The death of Ronald Wilson Reagan has brought
an end to a very important chapter of American history.  As I have watched
the events of the days following his death there is one thing that has stood out
as a tribute that we all should be proud to witness.

From the General that has been the personal
escort for Nancy Reagan to the last Seaman Honor Guard member there has been a
display of Military Precision second to none.  The performances of many US
Military bands and coral groups have been spectacular.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all
those military members that took part in the various ceremonies and give them a
hearty Well Done.

As a retired Navy Master Chief, I have seen
many ceremonies and helped countless times with them.  I know the hard work
and dedication it takes to take part in these events and do a good job.

You, the service men and women, through your
hard work, precision and talent have helped to provide a very fitting tribute to
the 93 year life of our fortieth President of the United States of America.
