Obama wins North Carolina, Indiana too close to call
Barack Obama is projected to win the North Carolina primary, adding to his victory in Guam earlier this week. The race in Indiana is too close to call, indicating that Hillary has some electability questions of her own.
Recent economic news is as equally disheartening to Democrats as the economy showed GDP growth and job increases. Both are signs that the economy is unlikely to collapse into a recession in the near future. This makes plans for a Democrat run featuring a recessionary economy more difficult. (But as 1992 demonstrated the Democrats can turn just about any economy into recession with the cooperation of the MSM.)
Meanwhile more super delegates are being created. Newly minted delegates often find themselves being contested by both sides until they declare they are for one candidate or another. It is clear that the Democrat Party is not going to let the voters decide the election. (No surprise there, eh?)
In an odd move John McCain has started running general election style TV ads. Unless he is merely testing how each commercial plays in front of various audiences in test markets he's wasting a lot of money by running them this early.
