Speaking of Obama "outdoing" Bush, I picked a fight with an uber-liberal the other day and he was blathering on about how Bush increased the national debt 154% - I think the figures he gave were from around three trillion to eight trillion. Wanting to make sure I had my facts right, I looked at the U.S. National Debt Check. According to the site (which I assume is relatively in the ballpark), we're close to twelve trillion now. Okay, it ain't 154% - but it's still four trillion in less than a year, whereas at least Bush had the decency to take eight years to rack up five trillion. Yet when I pointed this out to the liberal, he pointedly ignored me and continued to rail on about how Obama was going to fix the economy. Pft.
